Me? I'm still interested in my PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS, and I don't really give a care about the next-gen until I can see the games in the store. I don't care what they call it, it will probably be the first thing I buy in the next-gen.

I first heard of the name through a friend who was reading the Japanese announcement. Reading it in Japanese made it more palatable. I think all those corny "wee-wee" jokes will be cast aside because language is fluid. My take? Thumbs up. "Soccer moms" will be saying "Nintendo Wee" because they grew up on "Nintendo", duh.

But then again, given the game industry's tendancy to make sequels, we are going to see games out for the system with "Wii" in the name. I could probably find a game on each Nintendo system (except for the Famicom/NES) that incorporates the system moniker:
