Hard to start and stop: Loco Roco and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

(tags game, PlayStation Portable, Dual Screen)

I spent some free time last night trying to get into Loco Roco. Yes its cute to me and I like the visual and audio art. But I just can't seem to like the gameplay. Perhaps I'm irritated by the way it neatly summarizes that I haven't fulfilled every objective in a level. When I press "Jump" I want to be able to control, how high. I'm going to keep on slogging through this but this will be a work-alike game? I'm still in World 1 btw.

Then I woke up this morning and resumed my Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time for the DS. By resume I mean I put it down a long time ago (a year? no, more than a year) after a total in-game time of 3 hours. I put 5 more hours into it today. I must like the game to play it non-stop like that, or is it that the objectives are visible and known? In any case, after I logoff, I'm going to continue the quest.

A reflex-based RPG, yes thank you. I mean no thank you, can't I just over-level and let my stats mow down the enemies?
