I've been meaning to link to Japanmanship, but this is the quote I've been waiting for: "Deflecting Sword... Remembering never to touch an opponent, simply tap the umbrella from the inside." Brilliant.

So much of his posts reflect my life, and contrast it at the same time. Is he living in the same Japan? Apparently, yes and no. I like his style, employing humor and sarcasm to illuminate Tokyo living and working. But I have to keep reminding myself, there's more than one kind of foreigner in Japan.

His Tokyo Game Show 2006 post draws some parallels from my own TGS pilgrimage, if only for the personal disappointment. It sure is a realistic counterpoint to the breathless "wish you could be here" blogging at Joystiq and Kotaku.
