Diminishing returns on Final Fantasy 12

At 10% life left, that boss did not give up without a fight. He raised his own level and smothered my characters with 1 hit death attacks. I went 13 rounds with this guy, perhaps 300 or 400 Phoenix Downs, probably 8 to 10 hours. I gave up on status improving spells such as Haste, Protect because my party spent most of its precious attack time on these secondary spells. It was either resurrect or fight for the last 1 or 2 hours. At the end I fumbled my camera and I could only enjoy this one picture.

The name of this boss is Yazumatto (or also Yazmat), which is a nod to the original producer, Yasumi Matsuno (松野泰己). He is renown for making critically acclaimed console RPGs, such has the Orge Battle series, Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and finally Final Fantasy XII. It is notable that both Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy XII garnered perfect Famitsu scores of 40/40 score.

Okay, according to the FAQ-support, there's only one extra boss left. I dread this boss. Heck I want to quit now. Also I just started the fishing game which is interesting.

175+ hours. And maybe if I don't get frustrated with 1 hit kills, I will get that last boss.
