try try... again

(tags game, keyboard, love simulation, date, Dreamcast)

Well, I haven't gotten past that second level. I am concentrating more, though. It seems that I'm forgetting to do the bare minimum, which is match up the last syllable with the first syllable. Testing the reading skills, too, I like it (grumble). I am cheating by using my camera to record the NG words. Hey, the Japanese words just don't want to stick in my head.

I notice every time I go through the level that the typing phrases are different. The conversation has the same meaning (if you don't run out of time on a response), but the actual words are different, which makes it interesting. They have another mini-game where you are quizzed on your girl's various stats, like what club she's in, what's the makeup of her family, and some crude risque questions like her 3 size and color of panties (you don't get to see her panties, so how could you know the answer? the truth is, the longest phrase is the right choice, I think). That's lame. The quiz part also has unrelated questions like when a Japanese famous historic battle occured, etc, which is a curve ball. I just guess.

S rank but still bad end

I'm not getting mad at this game. Slow and steady, persistant. I am getting S rank sometimes. S is good, I think, because other ranks are A, B, C, etc. And it's typing practice, though I doubt I need to type "あゆみと二人っきり期待していたよ" ("I was hoping to be alone with Ayumi") anywhere else, ha ha.

Ah, actually my hands are feeling the pain. Maybe I should quit the blog posting, no?
