Kashimashi: towel blemished, send it back; Raving about Yukimaru Katsura

(tags anime, character goods, failure, ECsite, purchase)

Two weeks ago I got what I ordered from Megami Magazine July 2006 and Dengeki Daioh Magazine July 2006 (ordered around 5/24). It's the Kashimashi telephone card sets (from the former) and a micro-fiber towel (from the latter)!

I was happy. Then I looked at Hazumu's face on the towel and saw that there was blemish. If you though my camera was crap (as in too dark), wait till you see me try to make it zoom:

Can you see the blue blemish between Hazumu's left eye and nonexistent nose? Can you see it now?

It looks bad enough to my eyes, but the previous photos don't illustrate the flaw too well.

Satisfaction guaranteed? I took up the Dengeki mail order service on this support issue. I did send the towel back to see if I could get a replacement. Still waiting...

In other Kashimashi related activities, I did get the fifth DVD for this anime. The covers of the DVD are stunningly beautiful. It is illustrated by the original manga series illustrator Yukimaru Katsura (桂遊生丸). He has an official page as well as sparse Wikipedia entry. I was surprised to learn that he also did some work with Air (manga) and Yumeria (manga)! Thinking about it some more, it is evident that the above micro-fiber towel is his work as well!

I need to confirm if the PlayStation 2 game used Yukimaru Katsura for the in-game illustrations. I raved about it previously (on 2006-04-04 and 2006-06-16), right?
