Rhythm like a geiger counter

(tags game, GameBoy Advance, rhythm, music, spoiler)

("Hey Baby, how's it going?") I did go buy that Rhythm Tengoku (リズム天国) game for the GameBoy Advance. ("This beat is non-stop (oh yeah)") It was fun until I got to the second stage, then it was like sweet and sour at the same time. ("Hey Baby, listen to my bass" (?)) But I kept on going since it was letting me get by with horrible performance. ("I can give you the sense of rhythm.") Ah ha the lyrics distract me.

I've got 6 medals out of the 16 unlocked stages (there are lots more), only 1 perfect... But this I am definately "not with it". The first time I did that rhythm test, I got only 7 out of 100! I'm way lame. But after a day of playing, I'm up to 70. This may explain while I "pull up" and get only 2000 points on the flags in Super Mario Bros. It may also explain why I'm not good at (ballroom) dancing and clapping in time at concerts.

There are a couple of songs with lyrics. I like that O-bon Odori (o-bon dance). The third "remix" stage music is sung by Ami Tokito (時東ぁみ) of megane-spectacle swimsuit fetish and School Rumble anime singer fame. Yet another Tsunku (つんく♂) product, but I enjoy the contrast of the music and the bunny jumping in time over ocean creatures. Crazy.

The GBA Micro's headphone out is noisy, I've noticed. Ugh.
